The listing's current description says to enjoy the Holidays Update and that matchmaking has been added to more modes. The dated changes below come from the update log, not from the listing's "updated" timestamp.
Story, Infinite, and the winter mode
Story is the 21-world route, plus Shibuya from Update 20. Infinite opens per world after that world's acts are clear. The daily Infinite quest was cut from 50 waves to 40 in the Fool's Hunt update.
Update 19 on 25 December 2024 adds Frozen Abyss. You fight on a random map for up to 50 waves. Every few waves you choose a modifier. Adding enemy paths is the choice that raises rewards and also makes the clear harder. A full 50-wave clear can award two Secret portals. Holiday Stars open the winter capsules.
Dungeons
Update 20 on 9 March 2025 adds Dungeons.
- Get a key. The log says login rewards give a free key each day, and Gambler in the lobby sells more. The disputed DUNGEONS code was documented as 1 Dungeon key. Do not count on that code until you see it redeem.
- Enter the dungeon. Layouts are random and have more than one level.
- Pick up money in Hoard rooms and spend it in the dungeon shops on weapons or reward boosts.
- Cursed items raise the difficulty. Shrines can offer a stronger curse for a larger reward.
- Chests can be opened at a checkpoint or held until the end. The log says waiting until the end keeps a chance at a secret unit. Opening early spends that chance.
- Finishing the whole dungeon is the listed chance at a special limited secret unit.
This mode is not Virtual Dungeon or Dungeon Throne. Those are Story worlds.
Assassin Contracts and raids
Update 19.5 on 1 February 2025 adds Assassin Contracts. You accept a contract, fight its target, and deal with modifiers and countermeasures that get sharper on rarer contracts. You can go solo or matchmake. Speak with Legendary Assassin in the lobby for The Spider raid. Assassin Tokens are that update's banner and evolution currency.
Raids are also a Gem source on the currency page. Older guides split raids into Normal, Hard, and Extreme. Those three names are not repeated as the live difficulty list.
Fool's Hunt
Update 20.4.1 has no date on the log heading. The mode replaces your team with random units and spells. You receive a new unit every few seconds and sometimes a spell instead. Waves pay event currency, and you pick modifiers as the run goes. Units you equipped can come back through some spells. Place deliberately, because the next offer replaces the decision.
Lobby tools from the same updates
Update 20 adds a Unit Overview. Press F in a match to view, upgrade, sell, or select units from that panel. Worthiness now caps at 400%, and each reroll still spends up to 100%. A stat reroll asks you to confirm before it replaces an S-tier stat. Update 20.4.1 shows passive text in the unit view, adds a Quick Summon toggle that skips the first part of the summon animation, highlights the enemy a unit is targeting, and makes critical damage a true multiplier.
The Lily Hunt battle pass arrives in Update 20 and advances by defeating enemies in any mode. Fool's Hunt later adds 10 tiers to whatever pass is current. It does not rename that pass in the log.
